Job summary

Weyerhaeuser provides a Maintenance Multi-Craft Technician position at the Arcadia OSB Mill in Simsboro, LA. The role requires repairs, installation, and preventive maintenance of high-tech OSB equipment with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in electrical or millwright roles, be able to work 12-hour shifts, and read blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years maintenance millwright or electrical experience in an industrial environment.
• Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be proficient in electricity, electronics, PLC, logic, mechanical troubleshooting, power transmission, welding, and hydraulics.
• Must read and understand blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Experience using maintenance tools.
• Must pass a pre-employment technical test.
• Must attach a resume or provide work history.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance support to operations and lead preventative maintenance work.
• Demonstrates willingness and ability to meet mill needs promptly with safety as the primary consideration.
• Cross train in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance for troubleshooting and preventative work.
• Attend training onsite and offsite as required.
• Utilize maintenance systems and demonstrate systemic troubleshooting decision making.
• Participate in meetings, team feedback, and team building.
