Job summary

ALPLA Group in Salt Lake City is seeking a Maintenance/Mold Change Technician to support mold changes and equipment upkeep in our blow molding operations. You will work with skilled teams to ensure changes are safe, timely, and compliant with our quality standards.

This role requires a High School Diploma, knowledge of blow molding, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. We offer hands-on training, competitive benefits, and a path for growth within a global packaging leader.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of Blow Molding process preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist in safe, efficient mold changes using prior production data.
• Support Mold Change Setter II in performing changes and replace heads/molds in Blow Molding equipment.
• Ensure mold changes are completed within defined timeframes.
• Assist start-up and process in used molds to meet QA approval.
• Maintain clear communication with Supervisors and Mold Change team.
• Collaborate with the team for efficient operations.
• Maintain housekeeping within the department.

What Will You Enjoy Doing

Assists and supports person responsible for Mold Changes in making sure that machines and components, molds and accessories are changed safely and efficiently utilizing prior production data.

• Supports Mold Change Setter II in performing Mold Changes o Replacesheads and molds in Blow Molding equipment o Ensures Mold Changes are complete in defined timeframes
• Assists Mold Change Setter II to perform start-up and process in molds that have been used for established products to meet QA approval
• Maintains good and continuous communication with Supervisor, Maintenance and Mold Change Supervisor and Mold Change Setter II
• Working together in a Team o Ensures team works together as efficiently as possible
• Maintains good housekeeping within department

What Makes You Great
