Job summary

ALPLA Group in the Kansas City area is seeking an Injection Molding Technician to monitor machines, ensure safe, efficient operation, and verify product quality.

You will identify process improvements, perform routine repairs to molds, and lead training for department staff while maintaining a clean, organized production area.

This role requires teamwork, lifting up to 60 lbs, standing for long periods, and flexible hours in a safety‑driven, continuous‑improvement culture.

Qualifications

  • Min 2 years' experience in Injection Molding.
  • Experience in either Toolmaking, Mechanic or Electric/Electronic systems.
  • Able to lift up to 60 lbs. and stand for a minimum of 12 hours.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and monitor critical parameters to ensure machines operate safely, efficiently, and reliably according to guidelines.
  • Test and validate that a quality product is consistently produced.
  • Test and validate that processes are optimizing equipment to the fullest extent.
  • Ensure all required raw materials are available and defect-free prior to processing.
  • Identify, monitor, and report inconsistencies across shifts; implement corrective actions.
  • Perform minor repairs to molds and molding equipment.
  • Develop and deliver training for department personnel as needed.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts related to processes, procedures, and training to support customer satisfaction.
  • Perform and document product sampling.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper working condition of assigned machines and tools.

What Makes You Great

Education/Experience:

Min 2 years' experience in Injection Molding
Experienced in either Toolmaking, Mechanic or Electric/Electronic systems

Qualification/Skills:

Able to work in Team environment
Effectively manages time as a resource; gives balanced attention to appropriate long-term and short-term priorities
Must have flexible work availability
Ability to prioritize, plan and execute duties with minimal supervision
Able to lift up to 60 lbs. and stand for a minimum of 12 hours
