Job summary

ALPLA in Las Vegas, NV seeks a hands-on Molding Supervisor to manage the performance, quality, efficiency and reliability of all molding machines in the Molding Department. You will monitor critical parameters to ensure safe, efficient operation and production targets are met, while maintaining quality standards.

A minimum of three years in Blow or Injection molding is required, with preference for ALPLA equipment experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years in respective Blow molding or Injection molding required, prefer application on ALPLA equipment.
• Experienced in either Toolmaking, Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic systems preferred
• Able to work in team environment
• Able to train technical personnel, Train the Trainer certification
• Effectively manages time as a resource; gives balanced attention to appropriate long-term and short-term priorities
• Must have flexible work availability
• Ability to prioritize, plan and execute duties with minimal supervision
• Good Communication Skills

Responsibilities

• Manage the performance, quality, efficiency and reliability of all molding machines in the Molding Department.
• Identify and monitor critical parameters to ensure all assigned machines are operating safely, efficiently and reliably, according to recommended operating guidelines
• Ensure quality product is being produced at all times from the Process
• Ensure process is optimized to the fullest extent
• When applicable, ensure all raw materials required are available and defect free before being processed
• Identify, monitor, and report inconsistencies in above areas for all shifts not worked and create and implement corrective action plans to overcome discrepancies
• Make minor repairs to molds and molding equipment
• Supervising orderliness, cleanliness and working order of the assigned machines and tools
• Assist the Production Manager in implementing required training for Machine Operators
