Job summary

TAS Energy Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Mechanical Lead to ensure project assembly functions meet budget and schedule under supervision. You will lead small to mid-size teams, train staff, and drive safety and quality through daily plans.

Responsibilities include tracking KPIs, coordinating with supervisors, and maintaining clear production schedules while using lean methods and basic tools like MS Excel and ERP systems. This role is on-site with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma is required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in mechanical assembly in a similar environment.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and P&IDs.
  • Experience using basic shop equipment (hand tools, torque wrenches, power tools).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and meet production schedules.
  • Clear communication with team members and other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead small to medium size groups.
  • Train and mentor new personnel.
  • Manage shop assembly activities through daily/weekly work plans.
  • Maintain project status reports.
  • Ensure work is accomplished safely.
  • Assist supervisor in enforcing standards and regulations.
  • Track and maintain KPIs.
  • Monitor budgeted labor hours.
  • Ensure zero recordable safety incidents through proactive planning and continuous improvement.
  • Any other duties as assigned by TAS.
