Job summary

A leading energy solutions provider is seeking a Mechanical Lead to oversee project assembly functions, ensuring they are executed effectively, on time, and within budget. The role includes leading teams, training newcomers, and managing assembly activities. Candidates should have 2-3 years of mechanical assembly experience, the ability to interpret blueprints, and be skilled in operating shop equipment. Safety compliance and strong communication skills are essential. This position is based in Missouri and offers a dynamic work environment.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in mechanical assembly in a similar environment.
  • Proven ability to interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and P&IDs.
  • Experience using basic shop equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead small to medium size groups.
  • Train and mentor new personnel.
  • Manage shop assembly activities.
  • Track and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure zero recordable safety incidents.

Skills

Ability to read shop drawings
Basic understanding of a P&ID
Ability to operate forklift, overhead crane and man lift
Project Planning and Scheduling
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing / 5S / Continuous Improvement
Understanding of Mechanical Systems and Components
Safety Compliance & Incident Investigation
Basic Computer Literacy (MS Excel / ERP systems)
Team Communication and Conflict Resolution
Time Management and Prioritization
Basic Budgeting or Cost Awareness
