Job summary

Lubrizol Corporation, based in Texas, seeks a Mechanical Integrity Leader to drive a world-class MI program, reduce LOPC risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and improve asset reliability across maintenance, engineering, operations, and capital projects.

You will own the 5-year asset strategy, lead RBI/FFS/DMA/RCA efforts, oversee pressure relief programs, adopt advanced inspection technologies, and mentor cross-functional teams to deliver safe, compliant, and cost-effective performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8+ years of Mechanical Integrity or Reliability Engineering experience in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of leadership experience driving change and influencing outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and certifications (API 510, 570, 653; NBIC; BPVC; NFPA).
• Experience with RBI, FFS, DMA, RCA, and failure analysis in a chemical plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the site Mechanical Integrity Program across Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, and Capital Projects.
• Own and manage the 5-year asset strategy to drive long-term asset health, compliance, and operational performance.
• Drive objective setting, performance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives for mechanical integrity and asset reliability.
• Develop and oversee asset care strategies for fixed equipment including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, piping, relief devices, boilers, and related equipment.
• Track and report MI metrics (PM compliance, deficiencies, inspection deferments, CAPA) and adjust strategies based on trends.
• Lead adoption of advanced inspection technologies (NDE, rope access, drones, crawlers, etc.) and integrate RBI/FFS/DMA/RCA methodologies.
• Champion the Pressure Relief Device Program, including testing strategies, inspection frequencies, repairs, and long-term asset strategy.
• Support Capital Projects, Turnarounds, and maintenance activities with planning, budgeting, scope development, and execution.
• Ensure MI principles are embedded in capital projects and design decisions.
