Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years' experience performing in-process and final inspection in machining, automotive, or aerospace.
Strong knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading required.
Strong CMM operation experience.
Ability to correctly use and interpret measuring tools.
Visual inspection experience.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible forperforming precision mechanical inspection of machined parts and incoming materials to verify compliance to specification. Ensuring conformance requirements using calibrated measuring equipment and visual inspection. Interpreting customer drawings and specifications, and reference company work instructions and process travelers.

Basic blueprint reading & shop math (Trigonometry)
Inspect first off parts from manufacturing work centers
Collect measurement data for use in First Article Inspection (FAI) reports
Collect and provide data required for critical part Final Inspection Reports (FIRs)

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience performing in-process and final inspection preferably in a machining, automotive or aerospace business
Strong knowledge of GD&T and Blueprint reading required
Strong CMM operation experience
Ability to correctly use and interpret measuring toolsincluding weight gauge, micrometer, caliper scale (linear), gauge blocks, thread gauges, and comparative standards
Visual inspection experience
