Job summary

FM Industries in Livermore, CA seeks a Machinist for the Day Shift to set up and run complex parts with minimal supervision. You will read blueprints, program CNC operations, and develop fixtures, ensuring precise tolerances and quality.

Qualifications

THIS POSITION IS FOR DAY SHIFT – Monday thru Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Responsible for set up and run the most complex, proven, or new parts with little to no supervision.

• Utilize shop paper procedures, including updates, signatures, and stamps, counting quantities, labeling, and non-conformance-related activities
• Read blueprints, tooling instructions, and standard charts for specifications.
• Program, set up, and run all facets of work assigned.
• Develop fixtures as needed.
• Assist in creating an accurate set-up book for production.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED equivalent, or Technical School preferred.
• 5-7 years of work-related experience
• Extensive knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of blueprint reading, GD & T
• Extensive knowledge of accepted inspection practices
• Extensive knowledge of CNC programming and G&M code
• Extensive probe and toll pre-setter knowledge
