Job summary

Pillar Innovations, LLC seeks a Mechanical Field Technician I to support a range of projects from electromechanical equipment to installations. You will work with engineers and project managers, mostly in shop and customer sites, gaining hands-on experience as projects move from concept to completion.

With 0-2 years of hands-on mechanical experience and a valid driver’s license, you will learn to interpret drawings, operate basic tools, and perform quality checks while traveling to various

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in a role requiring hands-on mechanical applications and installations.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to identify and use basic hand tools.
• Ability to follow work direction and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assembly, troubleshooting, prototyping, and light fabrication in shop and field settings
• Collaborate with Project Managers and other Engineering personnel to organize tools and materials and plan for assembly and installation
• Learn to interpret mechanical drawings and documentation for custom machines, systems, and products
• Assist with maintaining tool organization
• Provide troubleshooting to follow a problem to the source and solve the issue
• Learn to develop and execute quality control and project check lists
• Learn to view designs and navigate 3D/2D CAD software
