Job summary

Pillar Innovations is seeking a Mechanical Field Technician I to support a wide range of projects from electromechanical equipment to structural installations. You’ll work alongside engineers and project managers, mostly in the shop and at customer sites, gaining practical experience and traveling to diverse locations.

You will learn to read mechanical drawings, use basic hand tools, and contribute to troubleshooting and fabrication while developing your hands-on skills in a dynamic,

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of hands-on mechanical experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and documentation.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assembly, troubleshooting, prototyping, and light fabrication in shop and field settings.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Engineering personnel to organize tools and materials for assembly and installation.
• Learn to interpret mechanical drawings and documentation for custom machines and systems.
• Provide troubleshooting to locate and solve issues at the source.
• Develop and execute basic quality control and project checklists.
• View designs and navigate 3D/2D CAD software.
