Job summary

A/Z Corporation seeks a Mechanical Foreman to lead the installation, maintenance, and inspection of HVAC, utility and process piping systems at project sites in Milford, CT. You will supervise pipe fitters, welders, and apprentices, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with project controls.

You will coordinate with project management, review drawings, manage material deliveries, and drive field operations to meet schedule milestones.

Qualifications

10 years of field experience in mechanical or piping systems.
Knowledge of materials, methods and tools used in industrial construction.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and crews on site.
Familiarity with safety protocols and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).

Responsibilities

Attend assigned locations and lead mechanical work safely to deliver top-grade results.
Oversee safety and quality programs on site and ensure permits are followed.
Coordinate between project management and field operations for timely execution.
Supervise subcontractors (sheet metal, building controls, insulators, etc.).
Review designs with architects/engineers and align with project controls requirements.
Develop three-week look-ahead coordination schedules with project teams.
Lead weekly coordination meetings with Project Manager or Project Engineer.
Ensure equipment and material deliveries are staged and available.
Support commissioning, field close-out, and validation activities.
Maintain as-built documentation and coordination drawings.
