Job summary

A/Z Corporation in Hopkinton, RI, is seeking a Pipefitter to participate in installation, maintenance and inspection of HVAC, utility, and process piping systems at various sites. You will read blueprints, measure and fit pipes, and lead junior workers while ensuring safety and quality on every job.

The role requires 5 years of field experience, knowledge of industrial piping materials, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 5 years of field experience, trade school or apprenticeship.
• Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in industrial construction.
• Appropriate state certification or license.
• OSHA 10 certification.

Responsibilities

• Attend site regularly at assigned location (A/Z office or project site).
• Work on HVAC, utility and process piping systems (e.g., HHW, Chilled Water, Steam, Condensate, etc.).
• Measure, cut, thread or bend pipe using hand/power tools or cutters.
• Read blueprints, isometrics, plans or specs to determine work details.
• Assemble pipe sections and fittings with couplings, clamps, screws or brazing equipment.
• Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves and fixtures.
• Test pipes for leaks and inspect for defects.
• Direct helpers or apprentices in tasks.
• Maintain safety rules and site housekeeping.
• Complete daily reports and material requests.
