Job summary

The Pipefitter position with A/Z corporation involves installation and maintenance of HVAC, utility and process piping systems at various project sites in Rhode Island. You will read blueprints, mark installations, cut and assemble pipe segments, and test for leaks while adhering to safety standards.

You should have 5 years of field experience or equivalent training, be capable of directing helpers, and maintain thorough documentation including daily reports and material requests.

Qualifications

• Experience in field installation/maintenance of piping systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, isometrics, plans or specs.
• Knowledge of diverse materials and welding/brazing basics.

Responsibilities

• Attend assigned location and work on HVAC, utility, and process piping.
• Measure, cut, thread or bend pipe using tools and machines.
• Locate and mark pipe installations and test for leaks.
• Assemble pipe sections and fittings with various methods.
• Read blueprints and ensure safety and quality compliance.
• Supervise helpers and ensure proper paperwork is completed.
