Job summary

A/Z Corporation is seeking a Pipefitter to participate in installation, maintenance and inspection of HVAC, utility and process piping systems. The role involves working with various piping materials and following blueprints and safety procedures at site locations.

Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, bending, assembling pipe sections, and coordinating with team to ensure quality and timely completion. OSHA 10 certification and state license are required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of field experience or completed trade school/apprenticeship.
• Knowledge of industrial construction materials and methods.
• State certification or license required; OSHA 10 certification.
• Permits and safety procedures including JHA and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Attend location regularly; may be at A/Z office or project site.
• Work on piping systems: heating, chilled water, steam, condensate, gas, chemicals, etc.
• Measure, cut, thread or bend pipe to required angles.
• Read blueprints and isometrics to determine work details.
• Assemble pipe sections and fittings; install valves and fixtures.
• Identify faulty equipment or materials and report to supervisors.
• Direct helpers or apprentices in assigned tasks.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping on site.
