Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Mechanical Field Engineer for the Thacker Pass project in Thacker Pass, NV. The role provides technical oversight of all mechanical activities, directs field teams, and ensures conformance to project drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities include coordination of schedules, preparation of installation work packages, field changes, and as-built documentation, while interfacing with engineering to resolve constructability issues and support procurement expediting.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering with 0–1 year field mechanical engineering experience desired, or 4–5 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with Bechtel work processes and standard applications is preferred.
• Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Experience with construction in all areas of mechanical installation.
• Coordinate with supervision the work schedule and material deliveries.
• Prepare field change documentation and as-built documentation as required.
• Interface with engineering to resolve design and constructability issues.
• Assist superintendents and subcontractors in constructability and quality issues.
• Work with procurement to expedite vendor materials and ensure schedule alignment.
