Job summary

Bechtel Global Corporation is hiring an Electrical Engineer for the Thacker Pass Project in northern Nevada. The role reports to the Lead Electrical Field Engineer and provides technical direction to field and subcontractor teams responsible for electrical work on the EPCM project.

You will coordinate daily field activities, support work-package preparation, inspections, and as-built documentation, and collaborate with Engineering to resolve constructability issues.

Qualifications

• Experience with Bechtel direct hire craft is preferred.
• Understanding of Bechtel work processes including Standard Work Process Procedures is preferred.
• Experience in mining and metals is preferred.
• Familiarity with Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs) including ACONEX, TEAMWorks, Bechtel Productivity System, PTR, eSub and other automation tools used on Bechtel projects is an asset.
• Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with supervision on daily work activities, schedules, and material needs.
• Assist with preparation of electrical work packages and field training requirements.
• Support field inspections and documentation, material take-offs and cost tracking.
• Support field changes and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with Engineering to resolve design and constructability issues.
• Assist supervision and subcontractors with construction and quality-related matters.
• Review drawings and specifications to support field activities.
• Assist with material requisitions, vendor documentation, and delivery follow-up.
• Support material receipt inspections and proper storage of materials.
• Review technical documents and delivery schedules as assigned.
• Assist with construction estimates and other field engineering activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve installation quality and safety.
