Intel Corporation in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to ensure reliability of critical mechanical systems across manufacturing, cleanroom, and R&D activities. You will design, maintain, and optimize oil-free air, HVAC, water plants, and exhaust systems while coordinating with global teams.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical engineering background with 4+ years in facilities engineering, strong analytical and safety focus, and the ability to lead cross‑functional projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years of experience in facilities engineering
• Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience in facilities engineering
• Experience with oil‑free air systems, HVAC, boilers and environmental systems
• Experience in large-scale manufacturing facility services and safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure availability, reliability, and maintenance of mechanical systems like HVAC, chilled water plants, boilers, and exhaust systems.
• Support safety, reliability, and environmental targets for mechanical systems.
• Design and analyze mechanical systems, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions.
• Develop scopes of work for mechanical projects and conduct design reviews.
• Perform feasibility studies, overseeing prototype fabrication and testing.
• Collaborate with internal units to tailor engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with operations and maintenance to ensure proper system operation.
• Develop roadmaps and asset replacement strategies for future capacity.
• Drive commissioning of new systems and major modifications.
• Explore automated solutions to achieve cost savings and efficiency.
