Job summary

Intel is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer in the US (Phoenix, AZ) to ensure the reliable operation and maintenance of advanced mechanical systems across manufacturing, cleanroom, and R&D activities. You will drive engineering excellence, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and shape the future of Intel's facilities globally.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years in facilities engineering and strong foundation in mechanical systems.
  • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3+ years in facilities engineering and strong foundation in mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure availability, reliability, and maintenance of mechanical systems (oil-free air, HVAC, chilled water, boilers, exhaust).
  • Support safety, reliability, and environmental targets for mechanical systems.
  • Design, analyze, troubleshoot, and provide evaluations for mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Develop scopes of work for mechanical projects and conduct design reviews.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and testing for new/modified designs; oversee prototype fabrication.
  • Partner with internal units to deliver engineering solutions.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance to ensure proper system operation.
  • Develop a roadmap and asset replacement strategy for future expansion and reliability.
  • Drive commissioning of new systems and significant modifications.
  • Support strategic engineering projects and explore automated solutions for cost savings.
