Solid Rock Recruiting, LLC. is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to support growth in bid volume for commercial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical construction projects in the Twin Cities area.

The ideal candidate has experience in estimating and a background in HVAC, sheet metal, ductwork, or plumbing, with AutoBid experience being a plus and training available for the right candidate. The role focuses on reviewing plans, developing accurate cost estimates, coordinating pricing, and preparing

Qualifications

• Prior estimating experience in commercial mechanical construction preferred.
• Experience with HVAC, sheet metal, ductwork, or plumbing is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specs, and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specs and bid documents to determine project scope.
• Prepare detailed estimates for commercial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical projects.
• Perform material takeoffs and evaluate labor, equipment, and material costs.
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain pricing and verify costs.
• Identify scope gaps and risks to improve estimate accuracy.
• Collaborate with project managers during bidding process.
• Help manage bid volume while maintaining accuracy and quality.
