Job summary

Solid Rock Recruiting, LLC. is representing a respected commercial mechanical contractor seeking a Mechanical Estimator to support increasing bid volume for HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical projects in the Twin Cities area.

The ideal candidate will review drawings, perform material takeoffs, and develop accurate cost estimates. Experience with sheet metal, ductwork, or plumbing is valued, and AutoBid familiarity is a plus with training available.

Qualifications

• Prior estimating experience in commercial mechanical construction preferred.
• Background in HVAC, sheet metal, ductwork, or plumbing.
• Approximately two or more years of relevant experience preferred, with consideration for both developing and senior-level estimators.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and mechanical drawings.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
• AutoBid experience is a plus, but training is available.
• Stable employment history and an interest in a long-term opportunity.

Responsibilities

Mechanical Estimator – HVAC / Plumbing

Solid Rock Recruiting is representing an established commercial mechanical contractor in its search for a Mechanical Estimator to support increasing bid volume and continued project demand.

Position Overview

The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for reviewing project plans, developing accurate cost estimates, coordinating pricing, and preparing competitive bids for commercial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical construction projects.

The ideal candidate has experience in mechanical estimating, sheet metal, ductwork, or plumbing. Experience with AutoBid is beneficial, but training is available for the right candidate.

Compensation & Benefits

The compensation package is based on experience and qualifications:
