Job summary

Harrison, Walker & Harper (HWH) in Paris, TX seeks a Mechanical Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for HVAC, plumbing, piping and process mechanical systems. You will review drawings, perform quantity takeoffs and develop bid proposals in collaboration with PMs, operations, vendors, and clients.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, organization, and teamwork to ensure estimates meet project requirements and competitive bid targets.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in construction estimating.
• Strong understanding of construction documents and specifications.
• Proficient in take-offs and scope analysis.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and team-focused.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to determine project scope.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, piping, and associated equipment.
• Develop accurate labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare complete bid proposals and estimate summaries.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs as required.
