Job summary

McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to participate in the full bid/estimating process, from plan review to bid submission and closeout.

Responsibilities include quantity take-offs, pricing, subcontractor coordination, and interfacing with BIM/VDC teams. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of mechanical estimating experience, a related bachelor's degree preferred, and proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook; compensation for Southern California ranges

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum experience in mechanical estimating.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• General knowledge of construction principles and delivery methods; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantity take-offs, change order pricing and mechanical/plumbing estimates.
• Solicit subcontractors during bidding and organize information post-bid.
• Coordinate estimate information with BIM/VDC teams.
• Support procurement strategies, long-lead equipment reviews, and cost impacts.
• Assist with post-bid reconciliation and closeout of estimating documentation.
