McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. is seeking an Estimator to participate in bid/estimating, quantify take-offs, pricing, scoping, and subcontractor coordination.
The role supports the preconstruction process from plans/specs through bid completion and will be based in Southern California. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering, familiarity with OST/MC2/QTO, BIM tools, and strong math, analytical, and communication skills.

How do McCarthy partners define our culture?
The Estimator’s position establishes the fundamental principles for an individual’s growth and success within McCarthy’s Preconstruction career path. On a daily basis you will participate in all aspects of the bid/estimating process from review of plans and specs to soliciting and negotiating prices from subcontractors/suppliers through completion of bid/estimating efforts including closeout. You will also perform quantity take-offs, pricing, scoping, and bidding of construction projects. This role will be based out of either our Los Angeles or San Diego offices.
For Southern California locations only, the salary range for this position is: $90,000-$115,000. This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation. Compensation offered may vary based on work location, experience, qualifications, specialty, training, and market and business considerations, among other factors.
