Job summary

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking a Technician to support building, installing, and completing system maturation for production equipment across North America.

The role requires working with automated production equipment and robotics, and coordinating with Japan/North America teams to ensure smooth production. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of related mechanical experience, plus skills in maintenance programs, tooling, and robotics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 Years of Related Experience in mechanical field or qualifying degree.
• Maintenance program, tooling build shop or robotic program experience, project leadership/planning capability, written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures equipment and/or software is running properly for production by following standard procedures.
• Partners with a more experienced Technician to troubleshoot and repair tooling and leverages knowledge gained from training to begin independent troubleshooting of “low” risk items.
• Proactively looks for/identifies potential for process and quality improvement and calls to attention of Supervisor; may occasionally participate in developing recommendations.
• Supports new model activity, as assigned by project leader and/or Leadership.
• Participates in checks, tests, trials etc. under supervision of more experienced Technicians and/or Leadership.
• Utilizes assistance of other Technicians assigned to the job, as appropriate.
