Job summary
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician for the Manufacturing Operations-Mechanical team in Pullman, WA. You will support the development of basic solutions under supervision, document prototype construction and test results, and maintain engineering records.
Requirements include a 2-year technical degree or equivalent, CAD/ drawing proficiency, and 2+ years in a technical/manufacturing role.
Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree or equivalent training/experience.
- Core curriculum includes CAD modeling, drawing/schematic interpretation, math, physics, and technical writing.
- 2+ years in a technical/manufacturing support role in electronics, assembly, wiring, testing, hydraulics, or automation.
Responsibilities
- Learn to use job-specific components/tools and standards.
- Assemble and deliver basic solutions and related components.
- Provide project estimates (labor, materials, schedule).
- Complete accurate time logging and recordkeeping per procedures.
