Job summary

O.C. Tanner is seeking an Engineering Technician with a mechanical emphasis to design and build production jigs and fixturing, and to assist engineers with machine design, building, and troubleshooting.

The role involves collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure reliable equipment and reduced downtime. Key activities include prototyping, testing, and iterating designs based on performance data, mentoring Maintenance Technicians, and supporting continuous

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Assist engineers in the design of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
Design and build jigs and fixturing for production.
Assist in the development of prototypes, run tests, and iterate designs based on performance data.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure reliable equipment design and reduced downtime.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and root-cause investigations.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety requirements.
Mentor and train Maintenance Technicians on maintaining machines and mechanical systems.
Other duties as assigned.
