O.C. Tanner is seeking an Engineering Technician with a mechanical emphasis to assist engineers in designing mechanical components and assemblies.

The role involves building jigs, fixtures, and prototypes, while collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime. You will contribute to continuous improvement, mentor technicians, and help ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Basic SolidWorks proficiency.
• Ability to plan and execute projects using tools like Asana/Monday.com or MS Project.
• Familiarity with hardware and machine components.
• Experience in mechanical troubleshooting and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers with mechanical design of components and assemblies.
• Design and build jigs/fixturing for production.
• Develop prototypes, run tests, and iterate designs based on data.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure reliable equipment design and reduced downtime.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and root-cause investigations.
• Mentor Maintenance Technicians on equipment upkeep.
• Ensure safety and industry standard compliance.
