Job summary

UCT in Chandler, AZ is seeking an Engineering Technician I to support Technology or Manufacturing Engineering. You will assist with assembly, diagnostics, and testing of electro-mechanical sub-systems, and contribute to CAD tooling design and prototyping efforts.

The role involves creating assembly drawings, BOMs, and OMSs, working from schematics and instructions to validate design intent, while adhering to GMP and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level technical prerequisites or equivalent.
• Experience translating concepts into drawings, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
• Familiarity with GD&T and drawing standards.
• Demonstrates ownership and attention to accuracy under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in developing work instructions/OMSs for assembly technicians.
• Create clear visuals and documentation for manufacturing methods and training materials.
• Ensure GMP practices are embedded in assembly processes.
• Participate in design reviews with engineering staff and provide input.
• Support design, test, and modification of prototype systems.
