Job summary

The position involves assembling prototypes and sub-assemblies, testing components and PCBs, troubleshooting mechanical and electromechanical systems, and identifying design improvements.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on assembly experience.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings, instructions, and procedures.
• Experience with troubleshooting mechanical and electromechanical systems preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Experience with prototypes, testing, or product development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble prototypes, sub-assemblies, engineering builds, and trade show units.
• Perform testing of components, PCBs, modules, and assemblies under the direction of Development Engineers.
• Troubleshoot and assist in resolving issues related to systems, instruments, and components.
• Identify root causes and recommend design improvements.
• Procure materials and components from internal and external sources.
• Rework materials, assemblies, and instruments as needed.
• Support the operation and maintenance of 3D printers and other laboratory equipment.
• Assist with additional engineering and development tasks as assigned.
