Job summary

Parkhill in Texas is seeking a part-time, non-exempt engineering intern to support HVAC and plumbing system design tasks under close supervision. You will assist engineers and the CADD team with basic sizing, calculations, and document preparation.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in Mechanical Engineering and eager to apply classroom knowledge to real projects. Proficiency with CAD software is a plus, and you will be expected to maintain the technical library and assist with project tasks.

Qualifications

• Enrollment as a student in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Familiarity with basic HVAC and plumbing sizing concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic design calculations, system layout and sizing for HVAC and plumbing.
• Assist with construction phase services as directed by project engineer.
• Assist in checking engineering calculations.
• Maintain the technical library.

Under close supervision, performs routine tasks requiring knowledge of fundamental engineering, mathematical and construction concepts. Provides support to engineers, CADD supervisor, or project team in the preparation of HVAC and plumbing system design and sizing. This is a part-time, non-exempt position paid on an hourly basis.
