Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Mechanical Engineering Manager 2 in Clearfield, Utah. Primary responsibilities include leading an ICBM sustainment mechanical engineering team, directing technical work, and aligning processes with program goals.

The role requires 8 years of relevant experience (6 with a Master’s) and an active Secret clearance, with potential for Top Secret. Benefits include a 9/80 schedule and relocation assistance as applicable.

Qualifications

• 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree in STEM; or 6 years with a Master’s
• 3 years of hands-on experience supporting modernization, maintenance, design and analysis of mechanical systems
• 3 years of ICBM Sustainment experience
• 1 year of experience providing technical leadership of an engineering team
• Must have an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with the ability to obtain an U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

• Provide people leadership for a Minuteman III ICBM sustainment mechanical engineering organization, including performance management and staffing
• Provide project and technical oversight for activities performed by the group
• Create a vision for an engineering team and work to make that vision a reality
• Provide proposal inputs and review proposal content for internal and external customers
• Lead a diverse team of engineers in project development, technical requirements review, and sustainment activities
