Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Lead to supervise a Bay Area team in Oakland or San Francisco, CA. You will mentor engineers, lead mechanical designs, and coordinate with architects, structural, electrical teams and vendors.

The role emphasizes client engagement, project planning, and delivering complex building systems design with EOR responsibilities and strong communication skills. Hybrid work arrangement applies; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum: BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or similar field plus 8 years of related experience or equivalent.
• CA PE license required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Discipline Lead for the Bay Area team and mentor engineers.
• Lead mechanical systems design (EOR of contract documents).
• Develop project fee proposals with scope, schedule and budget.
• Coordinate design with architecture, structural, electrical and vendors.
• Maintain project documentation and design data for files.
• Evaluate staffing, analyze problems, write reports.
• Lead client meetings and maintain client relations.
• Identify prospective clients and contribute to marketing for new projects.
• Ensure quality and completeness of the engineering design.
