Job summary

AECOM’s Bay Area Buildings + Places team seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead HVAC and building systems design from concept to construction. This hybrid role is based in Oakland or San Francisco and supports diverse projects across the Northern California region.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with architecture, structures, and MEP disciplines, and contribute to the growth of the mechanical discipline within the Bay Area team while upholding design excellence and client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 6+ years of mechanical engineering experience.
• PE license required.
• Experience leading design teams a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical system design from concept through construction administration.
• Coordinate with architects, structures, and MEP disciplines.
• Mentor junior engineers and review technical work.
• Support proposals and client communications.
