Job summary

Springs Window Fashions is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Internship for Summer 2027 to support the Engineering Team with NPD projects, prototype builds, testing and cross‑functional collaboration.

This paid internship offers hands‑on design, calculations, test procedures, and product knowledge sessions, with opportunities for growth and exposure to multiple functions within the company.

Qualifications

• Previous internship experience in relevant function preferred.
• Pursuing a 4-year degree with preferred current standing of Sophomore/Junior level.
• Mechanical Engineering Major Preferred.
• Proficient computer skills Microsoft Office.
• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written and attention to detail).
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Join NPD project teams and support specific NPD projects: Product design, Spec / Voice of Customer integration, Engineering calculations, Creation of product test plan, Author test procedures, Build and assemble prototypes, Functionally test product.

The Mechanical Engineering Internship provides an exciting opportunity to assist the team with project support while providing valuable work experience related to your chosen field of study. Our paid internship program is known for having in-depth, challenging project work with cross-functional teams, as well as professional development, job shadowing and other growth opportunities.

Internship Projects And Responsibilities

• New Product Development (NPD)
  • Join NPD project teams and support specific NPD projects:
    • Product design
    • Spec / Voice of Customer integration
    • Engineering calculations
    • Creation of product test plan
    • Author test procedures
    • Build and assemble prototypes
    • Functionally test product
