Job summary

Qualifications

• Enrolled in 2nd–4th year Mechanical Engineering degree program
• GPA 2.8 or higher required
• Submission of academic transcript required
• Hands-on mechanical aptitude and shop experience preferred
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to uphold safety and security procedures in the workplace

Responsibilities

• Mechanical component and system design
• Research vendors for specific components and designs
• Lead vendor searches and technical investigations
• Produce specifications for products and components
• Modify and/or produce manufacturing, QA and engineering procedures
• Author technical reports
• Flow and heat transfer analysis
• Produce test plans
• Set up and perform laboratory tests
• Assist with system and component tests
