Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join a project team and support the engineering staff on power plant and industrial facility projects. You will work under senior engineers to apply your coursework to real-world design and analysis tasks.

Responsibilities include assisting in calculations, drawings, specifications, and tracking project progress, with opportunities to develop fundamentals in mechanical engineering and communicate effectively in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Completion of coursework toward a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Enrollment in ABET-accredited engineering program is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong PC skills.

Responsibilities

• As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will be assigned to work on a project team and assist the engineering team members in the execution of their project work.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, drawings and specifications.
• Work on a variety of tasks associated with project reporting, such as tracking and evaluating project activities, project progress, and associated data.
