Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. offers a Mechanical Engineering Intern position across multiple U.S. offices, including Kennesaw, GA, Peachtree Corners, GA, Tampa, FL, and Denver, CO.

You will contribute to design calculations, field data collection, and project development under licensed engineers. The role targets ABET‑accredited Mechanical Engineering undergraduates with coursework in Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Materials Science, and Statics.

Qualifications

• Graduating with a bachelor’s from an ABET‑accredited school in Mechanical Engineering or related major.
• Preferred grad date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Available to start internship in May or June 2027.
• Preferred Courses: Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Material Science, and Statics.
• Interest in energy infrastructure, industrial facilities, or power generation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
• Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Ability to effectively problem solve.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
• Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
• Must be able to work outside.
• Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering design and project execution activities under the supervision of licensed engineers and senior technical staff.
• Assist with the development and review of engineering calculations, technical specifications, equipment datasheets, and design documents.
• Perform engineering research and support technical evaluations of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Assist with P&ID reviews, equipment layouts, piping system design, and process flow evaluations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary project meetings and design reviews.
• Assist with field investigations, site visits, and data collection efforts as required.
• Maintain project documentation and support quality assurance activities.
