Job summary

ENERCON Services is seeking Mechanical Engineering Interns to support a variety of engineering and consulting projects across energy sectors. You will work with licensed engineers, review calculations, and assist with field data collection, ensuring quality and timely deliverables.

Typical projects include aviation fueling systems, oil and gas facilities, LNG/RNG infrastructure, and power generation, with opportunities to learn codes and standards on real projects in multiple locations.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Mechanical Engineering degree required.
• Graduating between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Available to start May or June 2027.
• Courses: Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, Material Science, Statics.
• Interest in energy infrastructure, industrial facilities, or power generation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
• Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Able to climb stairs/ladders at client sites.
• Able to navigate client sites for walkdowns.
• Able to work outside and travel for projects.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering design and project execution under licensed engineers and senior staff.
• Assist with engineering calculations, specs, datasheets, and design documents.
• Perform research and evaluations of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Assist with P&ID reviews, layouts, piping design, and process flow assessments.
• Participate in multidisciplinary project meetings and design reviews.
• Assist with field investigations, site visits, and data collection.
• Maintain project documentation and QA activities.
