Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for the upcoming summer 2027 start. You will work on a project team, assisting senior engineers in evolving mechanical systems for power plant or industrial facilities.

The role includes preparing calculations, drawings, and specifications, and tracking project progress. Candidates should be enrolled in an accredited engineering program with strong coursework in mechanical systems, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, or heat transfer, and

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, General Engineering, or Systems Engineering
• Proficiency with MS Office applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assist a project team on design modifications or upgrades to power plant or industrial facility systems and components
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings and specifications; track project activities and progress
