Job summary

Stratus is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern in New York, NY (PVEDI) to support engineers on HVAC, plumbing, process and other mechanical systems for building and infrastructure projects. You will gain hands-on exposure to design principles, load calculations, technical software, energy efficiency and multidisciplinary coordination with guidance from experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Completed coursework in engineering, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, HVAC or related subjects.
• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical drawings, calculations, equipment research, reports and other project documentation.
• Support the design and coordination of HVAC, plumbing, process and related mechanical systems.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, field observations and multidisciplinary collaboration.
