Job summary

Stratus, a nationwide engineering and design firm, is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Holland, MI. The role supports engineers on HVAC, plumbing, process and other mechanical systems for building and infrastructure projects.

You will assist with drawings and calculations, participate in meetings and site visits, and gain hands-on exposure to load calculations, design tools, and multidisciplinary coordination under experienced professionals.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Completion of relevant engineering, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, HVAC, or technical coursework.
• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
• Basic proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical drawings, calculations, equipment research, reports, and other project documentation.
• Support the design and coordination of HVAC, plumbing, process, and related mechanical systems.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, field observations, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
