Job summary

IMEG, an employee-owned engineering firm, is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Minneapolis, MN for a 10-12 week summer program. Over the internship, you'll assist in the analysis, design, and oversight of mechanical systems for vertical building projects, working with a team of experienced engineers and consultants.

You'll contribute to documentation, coordination, and project support across education, government, and healthcare settings, including site observations and addenda, while

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook).
• Skilled in AutoCAD and BIM software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of discipline systems per code and IMEG standards.
• Assist with researching commercially available equipment.
• Support client relations and maintain project design notebook.
• Coordinate design and schedule with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical teams.
• Document design decisions and client instructions; monitor progress.
• Prepare and issue addendum information.
• Conduct periodic site observations and support contract services.
