Job summary

IMEG is hiring an Electrical Engineering Intern in Madison, WI. Over 10-12 weeks, you'll assist in the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems for the vertical building industry while working closely with a team of experienced engineers and consultants on real project work.

This internship supports work within project budgets and cross-functional collaboration to help meet project goals and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years toward a BS in Electrical Engineering.
• Strong interest in design consulting.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of projects related to discipline systems in accordance with code and IMEG standards.
• Assist with researching commercially available equipment.
• Support client relations, maintain the project design notebook, and provide documentation for permanent record files.
• Assist with coordinating design and schedule with other disciplines, including architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers.
• Assist with documenting design decisions, meetings, and client instructions while monitoring project design progress.
• Assist with reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness before requesting a final check.
• Assist with preparing and issuing addendum information.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and support other services required by the contract services agreement.
