Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern in Idaho Falls, ID for a 10–12 week summer program. You will work with experienced engineers on mechanical systems design, analysis, and implementation oversight for vertical building projects.

You will support project design, documentation, coordination, and site observations within budgets while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet goals and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Skilled in AutoCAD and BIM software.
• Able to communicate clearly in writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design portions of discipline systems according to IMEG standards.
• Research commercially available equipment for project use.
• Support client relations and maintain project design notebooks and records.
• Coordinate design and schedule with architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical, and other teams.
• Document design decisions and meetings promptly as progress occurs.
• Review project documents for accuracy before final checks.
• Assist with preparation and issuance of addenda.
• Conduct periodic job site observations and other contracted services.
