Job summary

Novelis in Lincolnshire, Illinois offers a on-site summer 2027 Mechanical Engineering Intern program for about 12 weeks. The intern will report to the EMRA Leader and gain hands-on experience in mechanical engineering within an industrial setting.

You will learn about industrial machinery, support mechanical or reliability projects, perform engineering drawing modifications, and troubleshoot equipment such as rolling lines and furnaces.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited 4-year university.
• Sophomore to senior or recent graduate.
• Interest in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Learn about industrial machinery, mechanical power transmission systems, and pumping systems.
• Provide support for various Mechanical or Reliability Engineering Projects.
• Perform Engineering drawing modifications.
• Troubleshoot a variety of industrial manufacturing equipment including aluminum rolling lines, mobile equipment, and furnaces.
• Work under the supervision of staff engineers to implement reliability and maintenance standards to equipment.
