Job summary

Novelis in Lincolnshire, Illinois is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern for the summer of 2027. This 12-week internship provides hands-on industry experience in mechanical engineering.

The intern will engage in relevant projects, troubleshoot industrial equipment, and support reliability engineering initiatives, reporting to the EMRA Leader. Students majoring in Mechanical Engineering are preferred, and strong interpersonal skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University.
• Must be a Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or recent Graduate.
• Interested in gaining hands-on industry experience prior to graduation.
• Currently authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Learn about industrial machinery and pumping systems.
• Support various Mechanical or Reliability Engineering Projects.
• Perform Engineering drawing modifications.
• Troubleshoot industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Work under supervision to implement maintenance standards.
