Amentum is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to support the Spent Fuel Handling Project. The role involves collaborating with engineers and designers from Idaho Falls and other Amentum offices to complete technical portions of projects.

The internship emphasizes hands-on experience, researching RFIs and submittals, and contributing to a high-profile project. Candidates should be pursuing an engineering degree and possess strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Engineering degree.
• Mechanical design experience (preferred) and knowledge of engineering principles.
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
• Self-starter and motivated to accomplish tasks.
• Ability to follow established Amentum quality procedures and ensure that all work is completed under established quality procedures.
• Competent using Microsoft Office software.
• Ability to work onsite at Idaho National Lab daily if needed.
• US citizenship required.
