Jacobs is seeking Mechanical Engineering Interns to support building and facility mechanical systems for projects in Pittsburgh, PA and Albany, NY.

You will work with engineers and designers to gain hands-on experience, contributing to project coordination, CAD work, data collection, and innovative problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• This position is in-person and requires reporting to a project site; candidates must live locally or relocate within ~50 miles of the site.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Here’s what you’ll need

• In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• This position is considered in‑person and requires you to report regularly to a project site, because of this candidates are required to live locally or relocate to the local area (ideally within approximately 50 miles of site)
• visa sponsorship is not available for this role

Ideally, you’ll also have

• 3.0 GPA
• Previous relevant internship experience
• Must be at least a rising Junior (currently completing Sophomore year)
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MicroStation
• Ability to work in the US without sponsorship, now or in the future

The base salary range for this position is $47,300.00 to $66,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
