Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Engineering Intern in Atlanta, GA. Interns perform tasks applying standard engineering techniques, assist lead engineers, update designs, and support project duties across market segments including Transmission & Distribution.

Qualifications include pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, ABET accreditation preferred, strong communication, problem solving, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from a recognized, accredited program required.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
